This is a Barbie-inspired dog hoodie for the Shih Tzu puppy Tootsie.

cute hoot hat

It’s the eyes… big eyes make animal hats look cute and adorable.

cutehootDespite the warm afternoon weather, my toddler JJ agreed to model his new crochet Cute Hoot Hat.

This owl hat is an easy project to make. It’s worked mainly in double crochet. The applique eyes and beak are in basic stitches, too.

For this project I used lightweight yarns (in light blue, pale yellow, leaf green, white, and orange); 3.75mm crochet hook; and 2 buttons about 2cm in diameter.
